With little instructions You’ll be able to paddle far with minimal effort!

What should I bring?

Plan on how the outdoor elements may affect you. You may want to bring the following;

Bottled water and snacks
Sunscreen
Zip-Lock bags for belongings
Change of clothes
Water shoes or change of shoes
Sunglasses
Indians, Browns or Cavs ball cap
Bug spray

Where do I park?

Parking for West River is located at the top of our marina at 655 W. River Rd. Vermilion, Ohio. If you plan to leave belongings in your car we advise they be locked in your trunk. Additional parking can be found in front of Rotary Park (Water Tower Park) adjacent to our parking lot. If you can not find a spot give us a call… We may have a secret spot available for you!

Do you provide PFD's?

We provide all safety and paddle equipment with each watercraft rental. This includes your Personal Flotation Device, paddle and safety whistle. PFD’s must be worn and secure before each launch and will be asked to remain on while on your craft or along the shoreline.

Is this a shuttled trip?

All rented equipment will return back to the launch point. You can paddle upriver (for a more primitive trip) about 3 miles, or to Lake Erie (on advisable days) about a 1/4 mile. Make a day and paddle both and at the end of your trip come back to the launch point for an assisted exit from your watercraft.
